Home-Remedies for performance optimization for your PC - Part II

Here are a few more steps which you can utilise for the performance optimisation service of your PC.

Remove spyware: Although I have already mentioned in my previous blog post that you must at all costs avoid any kind of virus or spyware infection, if it does happen, you must know how to remove it, since it can do some serious damage. Trojan horses are the most common type of viruses, but can fortunately be removed by a majority of the anti-virus programs available. It might be surprising to know but more than three-fourths of systems the world over have been affected by this at least once.

Keep anti-virus updated: The anti-virus program you have installed on your system must be 100% genuine and updated regularly to ensure protection from all kinds of threats. This might seem like an expensive investment to many, but trust me, it’s not more than your precious data stored in the system.

Downloading off the internet: Although I have mentioned this in the previous post, this one deals with an entirely different issue. Many times, you might be looking for genuine anti-virus programs on the internet, but could end up downloading even more spyware! This is because there are many fraudsters who rename virus files and upload them online under the garb of the same being anti-virus. Hence, it is even more important these days to purchase genuine anti-virus and not go for trial versions.

As you might have seen, this post was dedicated entirely to the virus/spyware phenomenon. I shall be taking up more aspects in my upcoming posts, to help you even further in giving the right performance optimization service to your PC.
