PC running Windows XP slow? Let's get to work

In case your PC is running slow these days, it might not always be due to the fact that there is virus or malware. Sometimes, the main reason for Windows XP slow is the fact that there are too many programs installed on the hard disk, and your processor is having a hard time running them. This is all the more a valid point in case of programs that automatically start during the computer's booting process, i.e., as soon as your PC starts.

So, if you are experiencing such a problem of Windows XP slow in your PC, the most basic thing to do is to clear out programs that are used less or not at all. While there might be many of such installed programs that could be important to you, it is basically a matter of setting your priorities right. If you can afford to see your PC or laptop run slow at the cost of having these additional programs, another option here could be to deactivate these programs while they are not in use. However, bear in mind that this is a tedious task, and keeping track of whether you have deactivated all your programs is going to be difficult. But in case you are willing to take all the trouble and don't want to change the configuration of the PC, this is the only options.
